I never realized how easy it was to make peanut butter at home until I actually tried. It is so easy to just go out and by ready made peanut butter and all you have to do is just open the jar and dig in!

Turns out making peanut butter at home is actually pretty easy and does not require that much time to make.

Ingredients for Peanut Butter

Peanuts, that’s it. I love making recipes that require minimal ingredients and time. For this, you will absolutely need a food processor. It is important to use a food processor because that is what is going to break down the peanuts into butter. When you put the peanuts in the food processor, it is going to break down into different stages until it forms into a smooth spreadable consistency.

You can use salted peanuts for this, it is also important to note that this nut butter isn’t too sweet, you can definitely add a little bit of sugar or honey to this to make it sweeter.

For storage, I recommend using a tight glass sealed jar stored at room temperature. This is good to use for up to ten days.

Some ways to use peanut butter are to drizzle them on top of apples, ice cream, eating it with a banana or just with a spoon by itself, I mean who doesn’t love peanut butter? My absolute favorite way is to use it as a base for this Thai peanut dressing, peanuts are so versatile in savory and sweet dishes! Nala is definitely a fan as you can tell from the photo. She’s always digging her nose anytime I am cooking or when I’m trying to take the perfect angle of these peanuts.
