I recently moved into a two bedroom, two bath condo built in the 1980s in the beginning of August. One of the first projects I wanted to tackle was the bathroom in the main bedroom. The bathroom was in okay condition, but I wanted to brighten up the space with a new vanity, new tile floors, toilet and shower.
This was a full gut job and took about one week to complete, and I am so happy with the results! (And so is Nala.)
Firstly, be sure to stick around as there will be many more upcoming renovations in the future and I cannot wait to document the before and after process!
Secondly, if you prefer to watch instead of read, make sure to check out TikTok for more updates!
All of the links for the materials used for this renovation can be found below. I’ve dubbed this project “Phase 1” of renovations as there are many other renovations I’d like to do.
The Bathroom Before
The bathroom had an outdated vanity, shower, backsplash, tub and floor tiles. The first thing that had to go was the shower and tub. (Side note: I absolutely despise bathtubs, always have and always will.)
The demo is my second favorite part of this renovation project.
And After
The vanity was replaced with a white vanity with a carrara marble countertop and brass faucet. I decided to keep the mirror and sconces the same because I do like mixing old pieces with new pieces.
The tile was replaced with penny tile and I absolutely love the design of the tile.
The bathtub was converted into a stall shower with a new pink tile backsplash along with a new shower head and a sliding door.
