At the start of the pandemic working from home meant waking up ten minutes before 9:00 AM and wearing comfortable loose fitting clothes aka pajamas, yoga pants and sweatpants. While it was the ultimate work from home uniform, over the past couple of years I have found myself wanting to tweak my work from home outfits so that way I can feel more productive.
It might be a small change, but wearing clothes that aren’t pajamas really makes a difference in my day and it makes me feel ten times more productive than if I were wearing my pajamas. With the winter blues among us, I find myself dressing in vibrant colors over neutrals. There is something about wearing bright colors that brings a pop of sunshine to my day even during the darkest winter months.
During the winter, I appreciate function over fashion. I still prefer to wear comfortable pants such as yoga pants and pair it with a cute warm colorful sweater and accessories.
Cozy Work From Home Outfits
I’m very picky when it comes to clothes and have only recently found what my style is. About 90% of my closet is Miss Patina. It’s a cat inspired vintage clothing brand that makes beautiful cat inspired clothes as well as preppy and dark academia styles as well. Think pinafores, linen dresses, preppy ties, headbands, bows, etc.
Thes rest of my clothes is secondhand through Poshmark, thrifted or from Kohls, Old Navy or J.Crew.
For someone who works a 9-5 job, I am constantly sitting down and want to make sure that I am always cozy and comfortable in what I wear. It amazes me how a simple change in my clothes can drastically improve my productivity throughout the day.
