This fruit and yogurt bowl is easy to make and no cooking required. While this isn’t really a “recipe”, it’s more of an easy bowl to make when you are on the go. I love dishes where there is no cooking required especially during the summer. I prefer not to use the oven in the summer and prefer to eat dishes that require minimal cooking.
With this bowl you can customize to your liking, it’s really a choose your own adventure type of bowl. With summer right around the corner, you can make this bowl for breakfast, an afternoon snack or for dessert!
Fruit & Yogurt Bowl Ingredients
While this fruit and yogurt bowl is completely customizable to your like, I’m sharing the fruit, yogurt and toppings for this particular bowl.
I prefer to use plain Greek yogurt with a banana, strawberries, a drizzle of maple syrup and almonds. You can also use any flavor of yogurt, but I like to keep it simple with just plain that way I can control the sweetness as other flavored yogurts already come with a lot of sugar. Some of my other favorite toppings include:
- Granola
- Peanut Butter
- Honey
- Unsweetened Coconut
- Peanuts
- Pumpkin Seeds
- Pecans
- Walnuts
- Blueberries
You can also use any sweetener of choice like honey, sugar, stevia, etc. or you can omit it entirely. For fruit, strawberries and bananas are my go to, they make the perfect combination when paired together and I also like to have something crunchy like almonds or granola which makes it more filling.
This is definitely a protein packed bowl, I like to eat this for breakfast as it keeps me full for hours. I also like to switch out the fruit and toppings occasionally depending on what fruit is in season. While this is perfect for summer, this can be eaten year round.
In the fall, this would be perfect with Libby’s pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves and ginger.
