Welcome back to Life Lately, the April edition! I am excited to recap what I’ve been up to in March and share my plans for April 2025 and life behind the scenes.
Life Lately April 2025
My kitchen renovation is finally done! After almost two months of my house turning into a construction zone, I’m happy to report the end is here!
I’ll be sharing the before and afters of my kitchen on the blog very soon. The kitchen is the heart of the home and I designed this kitchen in a way that was cost saving and practical for my everyday use. This was the last major renovation project for the year. I have been slowly renovating my condo over the past three years. I have poured blood, sweat and tears into designing this condo to my style and really grasping the concept of making a house to a home.
As a result, I am motivated to cook more and develop indulgent recipes for my fellow foodies. Secondly, this kitchen is one hundred percent Nala approved. She is a sneaky kitty and knows where her treats are hidden, what an opportunist.
I was off last week and enjoyed my time off, it was much needed and I feel so well rested. I turned 31 last week and celebrated it by treating myself to a head spa in Montclair, NJ.
One Saturday, I visited Yale to explore and even though it was chilly, there’s nothing that New Haven pizza can’t fix.
Currently Eating
I’ve been keeping my coffee game strong and have switched over to only drinking cold brew concentrate. It’s so much richer and bolder than watered down iced coffee and cold brew. Of course, nothing pairs better with cold brew concentrate than Chobani’s cookie dough creamer.
Peanut butter pretzels at this point have turned into an addiction and I blame Meghan Markle for that. Although, I prefer to eat my peanut butter pretzels straight from the bag, but not judging.
I recently tried manti which is a Turkish dumpling and it was so delicious. There’s a Turkish restaurant right by my house and they have some of the best tasting dishes.
Currently Watching
Now that Love is Blind season 8 has commenced, it’s time to embrace the guilty pleasure of reality tv heading into April. April 2025 is blessing us with reality tv goodness. Vanderpump Villa Season two is coming out this month and I cannot wait to have Stassi back! Her sense of humor and personality is what truly makes her reality tv gold. Additionally, The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives season two also comes out in May and I hate to admit it, but it was so addicting to watch the first time it came out, I can only imagine how addicting the second season will be.
And, finally what I have been waiting for for over two years, drum roll please… the final season of You comes out this month! I am not ready to say goodbye to Joe Goldberg, however I know there’s plenty of people in the You universe that is ready to turn in him. I have so many theories as to how the show will end, but only time will tell. April 24th can’t get here fast enough!
Life Behind the Scenes
Now that my kitchen is done, I am taking time to focus more on the blog and podcast. With the weather getting nicer and the cherry blossoms blooming, I want to practice more nature photography and the beginning of spring is the best way to start.
Speaking of spring, I have gone on a major spring cleaning kick starting with my closet. I have pieces that I have never worn in over a year and it was time to purge. I’m looking to spend less money on clothes and wear the items I already own. There is something so satisfying about cleaning out your closet. There is no better feeling that being in outfit repeater in my opinion, don’t tell Kate Sanders!
Nala
Nala’s presence was so missed when she was staying at my parents house during the kitchen renovation. Now that she’s back home, she is in love with the kitchen and is so grateful that I saved room for her to continue jumping on the cabinets.
With the beginning of spring, the squirrels are starting to come out and she cannot get enough of their company. You can pretty much find her glued to the window everyday having a staring contest with the birds and squirrels.
