Welcome back to Life Lately, the November edition! I am excited to recap what I’ve been up to in October and share my plans for November 2024 and life behind the scenes.
Life Lately November 2024
Fall is officially here along with the many leaves falling in front of my window. There is nothing better than the fall foliage on the east coast. I’m planning on going into the city this weekend to photograph the fall foliage in Central Park. I haven’t been to Central Park in years and it’s one of the best photo spots in the city. Earlier this month, I explored Sleepy Hollow & Tarrytown in New York and if you’re a halloween enthusiast like myself then you’ll love this town.
I also just came back from a trip to Florida. I went to Magic Kingdom with my friend and then Miami for the weekend. It has been over fifteen years since I visited the Disney parks.
Exploring Magic Kingdom was so fun and also very hot, I definitely recommend carrying sunscreen and staying hydrated throughout the day. I go to explore all the different lands and by far my favorite ride was Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. If you know me, I’m a sucker for any type of water ride!
We spent two days in Orlando and then took a train to Miami. We stayed at the Cadillac Hotel & Beach Club and had a relaxing pool/beach day. While Miami is known for its nightlife, you definitely will not find me at any club. Miami has a lot to offer with its various cuisines, arts and culture. My favorite area that we explored was the Design District, it felt like I was on Rodeo Drive and the shops were such a delight to check out.
Currently Eating
I’m just coming off of a mild cold and have been sticking to liquids. Speaking of liquids, soup season is officially here and I have so many different soup recipes I want to make this season. I recently made a vegetable soup to combat my cold and next week I’m planning on making a vegetarian white chili recipe.
As I’m writing this, it is Halloween today and I have been eating candy all day today and cannot stop. My only plans today are to pass out candy to trick or treaters and watch my favorite halloween movies which include Scream, Hocus Pocus, Halloweentown, Halloweentown High and The Conjuring.
With Thanksgiving this month, I plan to lean into making healthier desserts but also still indulgent!
Currently Watching
I use to watch Emily in Paris, but stopped during season three and I recently picked it back up and have finished season three and am halfway through season four.
Last night was the Love is Blind Season 7 reunion and boy was it filled with drama. I live for these reunions, it’s what makes reality tv golden. I love that they invited back past cast members and hearing what they are up to now and I cannot wait for season eight to premiere next year.
Woman of the Hour was really good and I started watching Worst Roommate Ever.
Life Behind The Scenes
My office is officially done, the walls have been painted, and I finally got around to adding a curtain for my windows for some extra privacy. I also switched out the hinges on my bookshelf door to brass which helps round out all the brass accents in the room including the outlet covers.
Later this month, I plan to visit Yale as I have never been and want to explore around the campus and the area. I love taking day trips during the weeked, it’s the perfect change of scenery and it’s also an excuse to take photos! Aside from that, I have no travel plans for the rest of November 2024 and the rest of the year. I want to focus more on my kitchen renovation and being more active with blogging.
Nala
Nala is very excited to vote this year! This will be her first election and she is so excited. She talks to the birds every morning and always has a new spot around the house despite the many beds I’ve bought for her. She is spoiled and she knows it.
November 2024
That wraps up the November 2024 edition of Life Lately, see you in December!
