Welcome back to Life Lately, the October edition! I am excited to recap what I’ve been up to in September and share my plans for October 2024 and life behind the scenes.

Fall is slowly making its way here, I love seeing the leaves fall and the different color leafs. The crisp morning air is one of the most refreshing feelings coming off the heels of this massive heat wave of this past summer. Earlier in September, I explored Philadelphia specifically center city and the architecture took my breath away. Philadelphia felt like a more calm, toned down version of New York City but definitely still crowded!

The Reading Terminal Market in Philadelphia is one of my favorite places to visit. Listen carefully, if you’re ever in Philadelphia you have to go to check out The Famous 4th Street Cookie Company! These are hands down the best cookies I’ve ever had and I am a sweet tooth connoisseur!

Currently Eating

I’ve been obsessed with making weight watchers two ingredient dough. For the past two weeks I’ve been making pizza dough with self-rising flour and Greek yogurt and let me tell you, it tastes exactly like a regular pizza dough just filled with tons of protein. I’ve been loading up my pizza with tons of veggies and of course lots of cheese, the best part of the pizza!

Let the pumpkin streak continue! Pumpkin desserts are starting to come back and I plan to make a few pumpkin desserts in the coming weeks.

Additionally, buying Starbucks’ pumpkin spice latte creamer was the best decision I ever made. I can make homemade PSL’s at home without all the added a sugar and a fraction of the cost.

Morning coffee is what I look forward to every morning and it’s my treat to myself. I’m not a hot coffee person, I love iced lattes or cold brews all year round. Throughout the winter months, I definitely indulge in making homemade hot chocolate.

Currently Watching

I finished White Collar this month and I actually loved how they ended the show. I won’t leave any spoilers here for anyone who is planning to watch it. Rebooting the show is making me excited to see what is in store for Neal Caffrey and how he is going to con his way out again.

America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders is another docu series to watch. Unfortunately, this show felt very toxic, ripping apart a person’s physical appearance, low pay and horrible working conditions are a few things you find when watching this.

The other two crime documentaries I watched were American Murder Laci Peterson and the current one I’m watching now is The Trials of Gabriel Fernandez.

Life Behind The Scenes

I recently painted my office and rearranged the furniture around to make the space more coherent and less cluttered. I painted the walls the same color as the trim and bookshelf in Lite Lavender by Sherwin Williams. This wraps up the house projects for 2024. In 2025, I’m planning on renovating my kitchen and I’ve already started working on the layout of the kitchen as well as the materials needed.

Next weekend, I’ll be taking a day trip to Sleepy Hollow, New York. I visited this town about eight years ago in October 2016 and I absolutely fell in love with it. October 2024 will be filled with lots of halloween content and I cannot wait to share my photos from my travels!

Towards the end of October 2024, I will be heading to Orlando and Miami for a much needed girls trip! I will be going to Magic Kingdom and I am so excited as I have not been to any of the Disney parks in over a decade. The park decorations is what I’ll be looking forward too as I have never visited Disney during the October months.

Nala

Nala, Nala, Nala. What can I say about her? She’s the queen of the house and has declared almost every square inch of this condo her territory. She switches her “office location” every week and currently is obsessed with sleeping on my pillow regardless of how many beds she has. She also loves sitting in her stroller and going for stroller rides inside the house. Her squirrels and birds constantly visit her throughout the day where she can socialize with them. This October 2024, will be Nala’s third halloween and just like me, she cannot wait to celebrate!
