Welcome back to Life Lately, the September edition! I am excited to recap what I’ve been up to in August and share my plans for September 2024 and life behind the scenes.

Life Lately September 2024

This summer was a whirlwind of heat, and I am so glad summer is over. As soon as September 1st hits, I am instantly in fall mode. I took a vacation in August filled with local day trips exploring the tri-state. Started off the week by visiting Westport, CT, which is such a cute town with amazing restaurants and even a little beach! Then ended up exploring lower Manhattan (my old stomping grounds) and ate my favorite food, pizza of course.

Taking day trips especially during the weekend is the perfect way to travel without breaking the bank and an even better change of scenery.

Currently Eating

I have been on a major pumpkin streak ever since Starbucks launched its line of pumpkin drinks and I seriously cannot get enough pumpkin. I also have a new coffee that I created at home which is just cold brew mixed with sweetened condensed milk, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cardamom – it’s so addictive!

Firstly, September is truly the start of fall when everything suddenly becomes pumpkin flavored everything. Cereal is also something that I have been constantly eating throughout summer and even now.

Secondly, I plan on making some more fall recipes for the blog and I can’t wait to share it with everyone. Fall baking brings so much joy into my kitchen and the warm spices are the perfect fall compliment.

Currently Watching

I started watching white collar on netflix. The chemistry that Matt Bomer and Tim DeKay’s characters bring to the screen is the perfect batman and robin relationship one can ask for, if you’re into having your FBI agent be your friend while simultaneously trapping you with an ankle monitor…

Season eight of Selling Sunset comes out this week, which is bound to bring on so much drama. I cannot wait for Chicago Fire to return and most importantly, YOU! I have seen so many spoilers come out and I truly have no idea how they are going to end the show.

Life Behind The Scenes

I have some trips coming up in the fall that I’m so excited for. I’m going to Philadelphia this weekend to explore around the town and then in October I’ll be in Miami for a girls trip. Salem, MA is another place I pan to visit sometime in October since it’s the perfect vacation spot for any Halloween enthusiast like myself. Speaking of Halloween, Six Flags will be starting fright fest next week and I always go for opening weekend, even though it isn’t even October.

I plan to renovate my kitchen sometime in 2025 as it’s the only major project I have left. Putting together mood boards is what makes me so excited about gutting the kitchen despite my house turning in a construction zone. I have tons of ideas in mind of how I want to design it and where to source the materials. I can’t wait to bring you along as we start this project next year!

Nala

Nala has been getting tons of visitors to her favorite window. She loves chatting with them in the morning, which has now become her full morning routine. As always, she’s living her best life filled with long naps, lots of wet food and occasional tuna treats here and there.
