It isn’t a super bowl party without nachos or chips and dip. To me, nachos are the ultimate super bowl party food, it’s the one day a year where it is comically acceptable to have thirty million kinds of dip for your party (or just to have by yourself.)
I only watch the super bowl for the halftime show and the commercials, sorry to the football teams actually playing. I never actually host a super bowl party, it’s usually just me and Nala sitting on the couch mindlessly eating nachos which is the perfect night in for a homebody like me.
When I think of the super bowl, nachos are the only dish that comes to mind. It’s the perfect vessel for endless toppings and there truly are a million ways to make nachos.
These loaded sheet pan nachos are my go to recipe for nachos, it’s vegetarian and it includes my favorite meat substitute, impossible plant-based beef.
Loaded Sheet Pan Nachos Ingredients
For this recipe, I’m using the following ingredients:
- Tortilla Chips
- Impossible Plant-Based Beef
- Pepper Jack Cheese
- Monterey Jack Cheese
- Extra Sharp Cheddar Cheese
- Frozen Corn
- Tomatoes
- Onion
- Pickled Jalapenos
- Scallions
- Sour Cream
I love with these types of dishes you can add in whatever you want and as for toppings, the options are endless. Some other toppings I like to include are:
- Pickled Onions
- Refried Pinto Beans or Black Beans
- Salsa
- Gaucamole
- Lettuce
- Black Olives
- Bell Peppers
- Vegan Cashew Queso
My favorite part of this dish is the cheese, I like use block cheese and grate the cheese myself rather than using the pre-shredded cheese since it contains cellulose. Grating the cheese yourself enhances the flavor of the cheese and makes it more gooey once it gets melted in the oven.
The only cooking involved in this recipe is browning the impossible beef and then topping it on the tortilla’s, then you add cheese and put it on the oven until the cheese melts. After that, you just start topping it off until the sheet pan is filled and loaded.
