Office Reveal: Before and After

by Candice

My office is by far my favorite room transformation that I have done. The entire condo had creamy white walls and the office in particular served as a blank canvas for my design inspiration. With this space, I really wanted to hone in on making it as colorful without it being too distracting and I think I accomplished it with this beautiful wallpaper and custom built-in bookshelves. Incorporating color into my space has helped make the space feel homey and lived in. I’m all for white walls, however I don’t want it to feel like a sterile hospital room. You’ll see later in my living room transformation, how I’ve incorporated color into my white living room without it looking like a hospital room.

I do share this office with Nala, (as you’ll see her giant cat tree in the corner) and it also serves as a home library.

Office Before

The office had creamy white, almost yellowish walls and carpeting.

After

I removed the carpet and replaced it with these beautiful herringbone floors in natural oak, added floral wallpaper and had custom built-in bookshelves built from floor to ceiling to house all my books. The bookshelves were built through my contractor and the paint color used is Sulking Room Pink by Farrow & Ball.

I love how everything turned out and it’s my favorite room in the whole house! I spend most of my time in this room since I work from home and it has so much color and personality. Interior Design is a really fun way to show your personality whether you are someone who finds comfort in all neutrals or someone who loves vibrant colors, interior design is truly one of the best ways to highlight yourself and have it be a reflection of who you are.

Stay tuned for future posts, as I’m currently in the process of transforming my living room and cannot wait to share once completed!
