My Favorite Skincare Products

by Candice

My favorite skincare products are very minimal, yet have a mighty impact on my skin. While I am no skincare guru, I wanted to share my favorite skincare products that I have used for years and has done wonders for my skin.

I recently went to Iceland and brought these products with me. These are my tried and trued products that I truly cannot live without. You can also find each of the products listed below at your local drug store, target or walmart. Additionally you can also order these products online through Amazon.

Skincare Products

  1. Ambi Complexion Cleansing Bar – This is my favorite bar soap! Firstly, Ambi’s products are proven to cleanse and moisturize skin of color leaving it smooth and even toned. I’ve used other bar soaps and shower gels for my body and nothing even compares to Ambi. I’m very particular with what soap I apply to my skin and Ambi is by far my favorite soap to use for my body. After applying and washing the soap, it makes my skin feel tight. Secondly, I have used other brands of soaps and body cleaners in the past and it always feels like even after washing it off my body, it still feels like there is residue from the gel leftover.
  2. CeraVe Hydrating Facial Cleanser – I recently started incorporating CeraVe facial cleanser into my morning skincare routine as I used to use the Ambi soap on my face until an esthetician told me I shouldn’t do that. This cleanser has prevented my skin from drying out and with the colder months among us, this has been a perfect upgrade from using body wash on my face.
  3. Aveeno – I have been using Aveeno body lotion since I was a kid, just like Jennifer Aniston (remember those commercials?) It has made my skin incredibly smoothe over the past two decades and what I love is that it doesn’t leave any sticky residue after applying it to your skin.
  4. CeraVe AM Facial Moisturizing Lotion with Sunscreen – This lotion is a game change for me. For the longest time I was using Aveeno body lotion for my face and it was actually drying out my skin.
  5. Burt’s Bees Chapstick – I ALWAYS carry chapstick with me, the skin on my lips are constantly chapped and I find myself constantly needing to re apply chapstick.
