Welcome back to Life Lately, the March edition! I am excited to recap what I’ve been up to in February and share my plans for March 2024 and life behind the scenes.
Life Lately March 2024
Luckily this year is a leap year and I really needed the extra day before we enter March. February was a pretty low key month, I visited grounds for sculpture in Hamilton, NJ and was able to snap a few photos of my visit.
For the superbowl, I made nachos for dinner using impossible beef and it was so good, I devoured the nachos within minutes! I only watch the superbowl for the halftime performance and Usher killed it! His performance brought back a wave of nostalgia from the early 2000s, a time when life was so simple.
March will actually be a slower month on the blog as I’m taking a bit of time off and looking to relax. This month is also filled with milestones and celebrations, including my thirtieth birthday at the end of the month and Nala’s adoption anniversary. I can’t believe it’s been three years since I adopted her.
Currently Eating
I’ve been making my own version of a halal bowl with roasted chickpeas, pickled onions, pita with Epicurious’ halal cart-style white sauce. With spring just around the corner, I can’t wait for seasonal fruits and vegetables to be in season.
Currently Watching
I finished gossip girl a few weeks ago and love the way they ended the show, dare I say gossip girl is similar to Joe Goldberg?
I also watched a few true crime documentaries including victim/suspect, American nightmare and girl in the picture.
American nightmare was the most intriguing for me as I found it absurd that the police department and detectives had this fixation that the case is similar to the actual gone girl movie, (no hate to Ben Affleck or Rosamund Pike who nailed that performance of Amy Dunne) and that it is nothing more than a hoax.
Life Behind the Scenes
I’ve been working on putting together a colorful DIY gallery wall in my living room that I saw another blogger do. I’m hoping to get that done this month so I can share with all of you.
This month will be a bit slower in terms of blog posts as I am planning on taking some time off this month to just relax.
Nala
With the winter coming to an end, Nala’s been enjoying all the birdies coming around the windows. She’s also dabbled in some jewelry theft that may or may not land her in jail.
