Welcome back to Life Lately, the June edition! I am excited to recap what I’ve been up to in May and share my plans for June 2024 and life behind the scenes.
Life Lately June 2024
May was such a long month. I started my bathroom renovation during the first week and it took a lot longer than expected to complete as with any home renovation does. Add in a leaking pipe and brand new plumbing, you get the recipe for my bathroom renovation.
My whole month was filled with handling the renovating from start to finish with my contractor and even though there were some hiccups along the way, I’m glad with the end result.
Currently Eating
I’m back to eating my harvest salad, it’s really the perfect salad for any season. I can eat this salad all day every day. During the summer time, I hate using my oven and prefer to cook on the stove top. I love browsing through pinterest for new recipe ideas and below are some of my go to summer recipes:
- Caprese Salad
- Pasta Salad
- Grilled Corn
- Anything with strawberries
- Panzanella Salad
I’m also obsessed with impossible foods chicken nuggets and the oreo ice cream sandwiches.
Currently Watching
I finally finished watching all eleven seasons of Vanderpump Rules, #teamariana! Between the drama at SUR, Tom Tom, Schwartz & Sandy’s and Something About Her, you would think the cast would learn a lesson or two in handling drama at the workplace, but no. This show is absolutely mine and Nala’s favorite guilty pleasure shows to watch. I love Stassi’s unbothered attitude and her love for ranch dressing!
I will be patiently sitting by with my goat cheese balls as we wait for season twelve to air.
Life Behind the Scenes
With the summer weather here, I’ve been taking advantage of the tennis courts in my building and playing tennis and pickleball. I used to play tennis recreationally when I was younger and actually haven’t played in a while. I’ve also been spending time at Hurricane Harbor floating away in the lazy river.
I’m planning on taking a mini solo travel trip this summer but am still in the process of deciding where to go.
Nala
Every morning Nala is awakened by the sound of the birds chirping, begging her to play with them. She’s living her best life as she always does. She enjoys sitting in her stroller and more recently has turned into a part-time lap cat! She also loves to sit on my laptop as I’m working and at night she enjoys sitting on my lap watching vanderpump rules together. It has become our nightly ritual.
