Life Lately February 2026

February 2026 has felt like a reset after a slow and difficult start to the year. I began January sick and run down, forced to pause and focus on recovery, which made the start of the year feel heavier than expected. Thankfully, I was feeling like myself again—just in time to travel to London, which became the perfect turning point. That trip marked a shift in my energy and mindset, moving from rest and healing into exploration, creativity, and inspiration. Lately, life has felt more balanced and intentional, with February bringing a renewed sense of momentum after a challenging January and reminding me how powerful it can be to start fresh, even if the year doesn’t begin the way you planned.

Currently Eating

The food I ate in London was a highlight of the trip and a true reflection of the city’s diverse and vibrant dining scene. From enjoying bold, comforting Indian dishes at the iconic Dishoom to sipping coffee and indulging in beautifully presented treats at the Prada Caffè, every meal felt like an experience. London’s café culture also stood out, with countless coffee shops offering expertly made lattes, pastries, and cozy spaces perfect for slowing down between sightseeing. Whether it was a full sit-down meal or a casual coffee stop, the food in London combined flavor, style, and atmosphere—making it an unforgettable part of my travel experience.

My newest hobby has been exploring local coffee shops nearby on the weekends. So far, my favorite coffee shop has been Hejaz Tea & Coffee Lounge in Franklin Park, and Hidden Grounds Coffee in New Brunswick!

I also tried a new Indian restaurant that opened up in Edison, the food was so good and a lot for one person!

Currently Watching

Lately, the shows and movies I’m watching have been a mix of intense drama, reality TV, and highly anticipated thrillers. I’m currently watching Homeland, which continues to deliver gripping storylines and suspense, alongside The Valley: Persian Style, a fresh and entertaining reality series that adds something lighter to my watchlist. I also recently saw The Handmaid in theaters, a powerful and thought-provoking viewing experience that stayed with me long after it ended. To top it off, I’m especially excited for Scream 7 to be released at the end of the month, making this a great time for both binge-watching shows and keeping up with new movie releases.

Life Behind the Scenes

As winter continues with harsh weather and ongoing winter storms, I’ve been spending more time staying warm and cozy at home, waiting for a change of pace. The colder months have been intense, making quiet days indoors feel necessary and grounding. Looking ahead, I’m excited to be going to Atlanta at the beginning of February, which feels like the perfect escape from the cold and a refreshing start to the month. Between bundling up at home during winter storms and planning upcoming travel, this season has been a mix of rest, reflection, and anticipation for warmer days ahead.

Nala

Life lately has included plenty of cozy evenings at home with Nala, who has fully embraced our nightly routine of watching Homeland together. She loves curling up nearby while the show plays, turning quiet nights into comforting moments during the colder months. Nala also has a funny habit of climbing straight into my suitcase anytime I start packing, especially while preparing for upcoming trips, making travel prep a little slower but much more entertaining. From relaxing TV nights to her playful curiosity around luggage, these small moments with Nala have become some of my favorite parts of everyday life.
